What's actually in Over 50's Sisterhood
Most of this you can't see from the outside. It's the part that decides whether a site earns its keep or just sits there.
Member accounts and profiles
Sign-up, log-in, profiles and a members-only side of the site that the public never sees.
Paid memberships on Stripe
Two independent memberships — Community and Business Directory — with self-serve checkout, a billing portal, and access that switches on the moment payment clears.
Business directory
Members list their own business with photos, a gallery, a logo and enquiries that land in their inbox. They edit it themselves — no going through the admin.
Member-only specials
Business owners publish offers that only paying members can see. Percentage off, dollars off, BOGO, freebies — with expiry dates and codes.
Meetups and RSVPs
Events with RSVP lists, host guest lists, and addresses that stay hidden until someone has actually RSVP’d.
Email and push notifications
Automated member emails plus push notifications to phones, so announcements land without relying on an inbox.
Built from scratch over several months and still being extended. Not a template — the membership logic, the directory and the specials system were all designed around how this community actually runs.
